2인 1조로 진행되는 네 번째 게임. 기훈이 도덕적 딜레마에 휩싸인 사이, 상우는 스스로를 지키려는 본능에 굴복한다.
새벽은 누구에게도 하지 못한 이야기를 털어놓는다.

 

 

✅ 본보기가 된 처형 – 게임의 질서 회복 A Public Execution – Restoring the Game’s Order

몰래 장기 밀매를 하던 진행요원과 의사 참가자는 결국 프런트맨에게 처형된다.
프런트맨은 이를 “공정한 게임의 질서를 무너뜨린 죄”로 단죄하며 다른 참가자들에게 본보기로 삼는다.
참가자들은 다시 한 번 게임의 무자비함과 통제된 질서를 실감하게 된다.

 

The staff member and the doctor-participant who were secretly involved in organ trafficking are ultimately executed by the Front Man.
The Front Man declares their actions as “a violation of the fairness and order of the game”, making an example of them for the remaining players.
The participants are reminded once again of the game’s ruthless and tightly controlled nature.

 

✅ 새로운 게임 – ‘짝 맞추기’라는 함정 The Next Game – The Trap of Pairing Up

다음 게임을 위해 참가자들은 한 명씩 짝을 고르라는 방송을 듣는다.
대부분은 여자나 노인 등 약자와 짝을 맺는 것을 꺼리며 경쟁력을 우선으로 판단한다.
기훈은 망설이다가 끝까지 남은 일남과 짝을 맺는다.
일남은 기훈에게 “우리 깐부잖아”라며 정을 표현한다.

상우는 알리와 짝을 맺고 협력하는 척하며 신뢰를 유도한다.
게임 방식에 따라 구슬을 모두 모은 쪽이 승자인 상황에서, 상우는 몰래 꾀를 내어 알리의 구슬을 가짜 주머니로 바꾼다.
결국 알리는 믿었던 사람에게 배신당한 채 탈락한다.
그의 순수함과 순진함은 처참하게 무너진다.

 

Sang-woo teams up with Ali, pretending to cooperate and building trust.
As the game requires one player to take all of the other’s marbles to win, Sang-woo deceives Ali by switching his marbles with a fake pouch.
Ali, betrayed by the person he trusted, is eliminated in sadness and disbelief.
His innocence and faith are cruelly shattered.

 

✅ 새벽과 지영 – 서로의 이야기와 조용한 희생 Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong – Stories and Silent Sacrifice

 

새벽과 지영은 게임을 빨리 끝내기보다 서로의 인생 이야기를 나누기로 한다.
짧은 시간이지만 둘은 가장 진심어린 감정과 상처를 공유한다.
지영은 마지막에 일부러 게임에서 져주며 새벽에게 생존을 양보하고 조용히 탈락한다.
그들의 관계는 순수하고 아름다웠기에 더욱 슬프게 다가온다.

 

Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong decide not to rush the game but instead spend their time sharing their life stories.
In just a short time, they open up about their traumas and hopes, forming a genuine emotional connection.
In the end, Ji-yeong deliberately loses, giving Sae-byeok a chance to live.
Their bond, pure and sincere, makes Ji-yeong’s self-sacrifice all the more heartbreaking.

 

✅ 기훈과 일남 – 혼란과 조작, 감정의 끝 Gi-hun and Il-nam – Manipulation, Guilt, and Emotion

 

기훈은 정신이 혼미해진 일남과 구슬 게임을 진행하며, 일남의 상태를 이용해 점차 구슬을 빼앗는다.
그러나 마지막 1구슬을 앞두고 기훈은 갈등을 느끼고, 실랑이를 벌인다.
일남은 마지막에 구슬을 기훈에게 기꺼이 내어주며, “지금까지 고마웠다”며 탈락을 받아들인다.
그 순간은 애틋함, 죄책감, 생존의 무게가 복잡하게 얽힌 감정의 정점이다.

 

Gi-hun plays the game with Il-nam, whose mental state begins to deteriorate.
He takes advantage of Il-nam’s confusion to gradually win all his marbles.
With one marble left, Gi-hun hesitates, overwhelmed by guilt.
Il-nam graciously gives him the last marble, thanking Gi-hun for their time together and accepts his fate.
This moment is filled with heartbreak, remorse, and the crushing weight of survival.

💭 6화 감상 및 느낀 점 / Episode 6: Thoughts and Reflections

전 회차가 육체적 게임이었다면, 이번 회차는 감정적·도덕적 딜레마의 정점이다.
죽음을 피하기 위해 친구를 속이고, 누군가는 누군가를 살리기 위해 기꺼이 죽는다.
‘깐부’는 단순한 게임 용어가 아니라, 신뢰와 관계, 인간성의 은유로 기능한다.
기훈과 일남, 새벽과 지영, 알리와 상우 등 각각의 짝은 신뢰와 배신, 희생과 이용의 극단적인 대비를 보여준다.
육체적 경쟁보다 더 가혹한 건 감정적 결정을 강요하는 게임이다.
살아남기 위해 누군가를 ‘이겨야’ 한다는 구조 자체가 공감, 도덕, 사랑을 시험하는 장치로 기능한다.

The pairs—Gi-hun and Il-nam, Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong, Ali and Sang-woo—reveal extreme contrasts of loyalty vs.
