3화 : 우산을 쓴 남자 
달콤하면서도 잔혹한 두 번째 게임이 시작된다.
남들보다 유리한 위치에서 게임에 임하는 몇몇 참가자들.
미지의 세계로 무사히 잠입한 준호는 매 순간이 긴장의 연속이다.

 

 

✅ 형사 황준호의 잠입 Detective Hwang Jun-ho’s Infiltration

 

실종된 형을 찾기 위해 기훈을 추적하던 형사 황준호는 검은 승합차를 쫓다가 게임 관계자 중 한 명을 몰래 제압해 그 복장을 입고 섬에 잠입한다.
섬 안은 통제된 군대 같은 구조로, 진행요원들도 역할별로 색상과 번호로 구분된다. 누구도 맨 얼굴을 보이지 않고, 감시와 규율이 철저하다.
준호는 진행요원처럼 행동하며 들키지 않기 위해 끊임없이 메모하고 관찰하며 신분을 유지하려 애쓴다.

 

In search of his missing brother, Detective Hwang Jun-ho tracks Gi-hun and secretly follows a black van. He overpowers one of the game’s staff members and disguises himself in the uniform to infiltrate the island.
Inside, the island is structured like a strictly controlled military base. The staff members are divided by roles, each identified by uniform color and number. No one shows their face, and strict rules and surveillance are in place.
Jun-ho carefully observes and takes notes to maintain his cover and avoid suspicion.

 

✅ 참가자들 사이의 연합 Alliances Among Participants

 

게임이 다시 시작되면서 참가자들 사이에 생존을 위한 동맹이 형성되기 시작한다.
기훈, 상우, 알리, 새벽, 일남(001)은 하나의 그룹으로 묶이게 되고, 상우는 점점 리더 역할을 맡는다.

참가자들은 한 방에서 지내며 서로의 정보와 힘을 바탕으로 누가 믿을 수 있는지를 파악하려 한다.

 

As the next game approaches, participants begin to form alliances for survival.
Gi-hun, Sang-woo, Ali, Sae-byeok, and Il-nam (Player 001) group together, with Sang-woo naturally taking on a leadership role.
They share a dormitory room, watching one another closely to figure out who can be trusted and who might pose a threat.

 

✅ 두 번째 게임 – 달고나 뽑기 The Second Game – Dalgona Challenge

참가자들은 놀이터 형태의 게임장으로 이동해 두 번째 게임에 참여하게 된다.
게임의 룰: 각자 선택한 도형(원, 삼각형, 별, 우산 등)을 달고나(설탕과 베이킹소다로 만든 얇은 사탕)에서 완벽히 떼어내야 생존할 수 있다.
도형을 부수면 즉시 총에 맞아 사망한다.

 

Participants are led to a playground-themed arena for the second game.
The rule: Each player must carve out a chosen shape (circle, triangle, star, or umbrella) from a dalgona candy (a thin, brittle sugar and baking soda confection) without breaking it.
If the shape cracks or breaks, the player is immediately executed.

 

✅ 선택의 중요성과 기훈의 위기  The Importance of Choice – Gi-hun’s Crisis

상우는 새벽이 화장실에서 힌트를 얻는 모습을 보고 게임 내용을 눈치챈다. 그는 쉽게 분리 가능한 삼각형 도형을 고른다.
새벽도 상우의 반응을 보고 삼각형을 택한다.
기훈은 아무 정보 없이 가장 어려운 우산 도형을 선택해 절체절명의 위기에 처한다.
그러나 기훈은 땀과 침을 이용해 사탕을 녹이는 기지를 발휘해 도형을 성공적으로 분리한다.
제한 시간 종료 직전에 간신히 살아남는다.

 

Sang-woo observes Sae-byeok sneaking off to the restroom to gather intel and deduces the nature of the next game.
He chooses the triangle, the easiest shape to separate. Sae-byeok follows his lead.
Gi-hun, unaware of the danger, naively picks the most difficult shape—the umbrella.
In a desperate attempt to survive, he uses his saliva to soften the candy and ingeniously melts it, managing to extract the shape just in time before the deadline.

 

✅ 실패자들의 죽음과 혼란 Brutality and Chaos Among the Players

 

도형을 부수거나 시간 내에 분리하지 못한 참가자들은 잔혹하게 처형된다.
한 참가자는 공포와 스트레스로 인해 총을 뺏어 난동을 부리지만, 곧 제압당해 즉시 사살된다.
그 과정은 참가자들에게 더욱 큰 공포와 절망을 안긴다.

 

Those who fail to carve their shapes in time or break them are executed on the spot in front of everyone.
One terrified player attempts to seize a guard’s gun and causes a commotion but is quickly subdued and killed.
These scenes intensify the psychological terror among the survivors.

 

✅ 준호의 위기 Jun-ho’s Close Call

준호는 진행요원으로 위장하여 게임장의 내부를 엿보지만, 다른 진행요원의 의심을 사게 된다.
신분이 노출될 위기에 처하고, 더욱 깊숙한 조직 내부로 들어갈 필요성을 느낀다.

 

While Jun-ho observes the game from within, posing as a staff member, he catches the suspicion of another guard.
This puts his cover at risk, forcing him to go deeper into the inner workings of the organization in search of answers.
